Watching the world sail by

The weather at Carey Bay hasn't been the best lately so, this evening after dinner, when conditions were pleasant with a lovely breeze off the lake I took my can of Coca-Cola out on the back verandah and watched the passing parade. The local sailing clubs host twilight races on a Wednesday evening so there were a few yachts about. 

It was a pleasant interlude until the bugs started to bite. Next time I will make sure I use the insect repellant that was on the table beside me.

Ten years ago...

 ...we set sail on a round Hawaii cruise on The Pride of America.

It wasn't the most luxurious ship afloat but it was a fantastic vehicle to have a fabulous holiday with one of our families while visiting a few of the Hawaiian Islands. We hired a people mover at each of the ports to see the sights, have a few dips and indulge in a spot of shopping.

Following are a few memories in no particular order.

We so enjoyed having Robert's brother and our sister-in-law who made the long drive to visit yesterday. The brothers are looking more like each other as the years go by.

Covid and health issues had kept us apart for 2+ years.

 Between five and seven thirty tonight the sky in our backyard went through several changes.

Tidy Terrier

 Even though Paddy's ancestry is only part terrier he is a very tidy boy who organised his toys nicely on the rug this evening.
