ZigZag in Zanzibar

This month I am participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge where I will endeavour to post on this blog each day. I will be sharing photos of Windows that I have photographed on my travels and highlighting from A-Z the places where I found these Windows on the World.

A cruise in 2015 took us across the Indian Ocean and down the East Coast of Africa. One of our stops was in Zanzibar where we zig-zagged around on a tour of the sights. As this is my last post for the 2017 challenge I am sharing a bumper crop of photos.

Windows on the World - X is for eXiting Xian

This month I am participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge where I will endeavour to post on this blog each day. I will be sharing photos of Windows that I have photographed on my travels and highlighting from A-Z the places where I found these Windows on the World.

Xian in China was an unremarkable city of 7 million people but we had visited there because it is the gateway city to the Terracotta Army. My mind wasn't on windows on Xian but on our visit to the warriors.

Blue skies for our flight out of Xian.

One could be forgiven for thinking we were in Egypt

Windows on the Word - U is for Up over Uluru

This month I am participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge where I will endeavour to post on this blog each day. I will be sharing photos of Windows that I have photographed on my travels and highlighting from A-Z the places where I found these Windows on the World.

Back in 2002 when we were visiting the Northern Territory I took my first trip in a helicopter. Although the windows weren't too clean I had a marvellous time enjoying the sights.  I didn't take any photos during the flight.

Dirty windows didn't mar the experience

Windows on the World - T is for Telescope on Tokyo

This month I am participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge where I will endeavour to post on this blog each day. I will be sharing photos of Windows that I have photographed on my travels and highlighting from A-Z the places where I found these Windows on the World.

In today's post I go back to 2004 when we visited the Tokyo Tower in Japan. Although the atmosphere was foggy/smoggy we were able to see to the ground below but we were not able to see distant vistas.
