Robert and I met up at East Riddlesden Hall, this morning with Genimate, Sylvia Valentine. Sylvis, who had previously volunteered as a guide at the property, gave us a personal tour.

Wisley Wow

 28 May 2019

After our time at the Chelsea Flower Show I thought I would find it hard to be impressed by visits to other gardens. I was wrong.

Today we visited the RHS Garden at Wisley which absolutely magnificent. We left our tour group at the gate and spent several hours meandering through the various gardens and greenhouses. I was in raptures in the rose garden as there were so many in full bloom ... and then there were the perfect peonies.

It was a huge site so I was rather tired after our long visit but it was absolutely worth it. I took heaps of photos to remind me of all I saw but will restrain myself in the number I share here..

Thameside

Although our room at The Sir Christopher Wren Hotel has a view of a street and residential buildings our hotel in Windsor is on the edge of the Thames.

While our fellow travellers visited Windsor Castle this morning we opted for a sleepin as we have visited the Castle on a few occasions. After breakfast we took a stroll across Windsor Bridge which is now a pedestrian thoroughfare and bike path.
