The Print Shop

Back in the 80s when we owned not one but two Commodore 64 computers one of our fave software packages was The Print Shop. We used this innovative product to produce birthday cards and banners and to tart up school projects and my university assignments.

Today on Facebook one of my children shared this link that tells of the resurrection of the Print Shop, his siblings promptly joined him in a trip down memory lane. One of them even suggested that I would probably have some precious artefacts in my collection that were produced using the program. I denied this but, on reflection, realised that there are probably a few of those treasures in the family archives.

In the interim I will share a couple of photos from my working life that display some Print Shop projects. As my place of employment didn't have such clever applications as The Print Shop I used to produce these at home to take into work.

As the fish were jumping it was a busy morning with many visitors in the backyard.

20 Something Snaps - Murals from here and there

As we travel around I take snaps from buses that are on the move. These bus photos are often a bit crooked or out of focus but they are wonderful reminders of places we have been.

This evening I am reminiscing with some photos of murals from my collection.

A Cake with Candles

My husband and granddaughters surprised me earlier this week with a cake they made for my birthday. I can remember my husband making a cake for a friend years ago but this is the first time he has made one for me.

I was rather chuffed.

Canada Day

Back in 2007 we enjoyed two visits to Western Canada when our son was undertaking a fellowship in Calgary. We explored many areas in Alberta and British Columbia with he and his family.

Canada Day, the 1st of July, found us at Rocky Mountain House at the end of a trip through Alberta.

We enjoyed celebrating with locals, learning about Canadian History, wearing our maple leaf tattoos. There weren't many options for food at the venue so we snacked on a picnic lunch of corn on the cob.
