20 Something Snaps - Fish and Chips

I went fishing in my photo archive today and found a few images of Fish and Chip meals we have been served in various establishments (see my earlier post Fish and Chipperies) we have visited. Some of these meals were memorable and delicious while some were downright dreadful, one of the worst being from a shop in Warners Bay not far from home, which has since closed down. Thankfully our local Splash Takeaway Seafoods at Toronto does a rather good job of  Fish and Chips.

There seems to be no standard way to serve Fish and Chips as can be seen in the following photos.

Fáilte

We are always made to feel welcome on our visits to Ireland. I feel so at home there, that's probably because my ancestry is about 2/3 Irish (and the DNA results back that up).

Hopefully we will return again soon. We have our fingers crossed that the Covid curse will be gone by mid 2022 and we can enjoy more time on the Emerald Isle.

Apologies for the quality of some images that are taken from a speeding bus or car.

Early Moon

Our backyard continues to deliver some colourful treats. Tonight's moon looks pretty good already.

Served at our table

We're on a mini-break in Sydney to celebrate a family birthday.

In deference to Covid there is no hot buffet breakfast. We had to order from an a la carte menu.

Cancelled again

So our Darwin to Broome cruise in July has been cancelled as Ponant (and several other lines) still don't have permission to sail in Australia. Another casualty of Covid.

Our super dooper Travel Agent Adam from https://www.facebook.com/TA.Toronto is booking us for a later date on a Coral Expeditions voyage.

Paw Comfort

When I sit on the couch our little boy, Paddy, snuggles up and places his paw on my arm.

He has been such a comfort to me during my convalescence.

No catch

It was a busy day in the backyard - the fish were jumping and the birds were circling. While the birds caught some fish my camera didn't.

I spy a school of fish
