The Aftermath

The visitors have just gone, towels in washer, sheets waiting, dishwasher on, vacuum whirring.

The family Festival of Christmas stretched over four days. As always it was wonderful to share this time with loved ones.

Christmas Eve Dinner

Santa came to Galston

Christmas Morning in Newcastle

Great-Grandma Elsie surveying the scene

Someone got a new car for Christmas

And someone scored a camera

Christmas Chef

All the family members gathered at Galston on Boxing Day

We had plenty eat

There was Christmas Pudding

And Ice-Cream with Berries

More presents were exchanged

Then it was time for play

Great-Grandma Elsie quietly observed the descendants

The 27th was a quiet day with the guests who had been staying with us. The boys, large and small, built a bonfire and played with the tractor.

The Master of the house had enjoyed his Christmas

After a lazy breakfast on the 28th our guests returned home

Cousin Catchup

We enjoyed a pre-Christmas get-together today at The Armory Wharf Cafe with Mum, some cousins, aunts and descendants.

As an only child I relish these times with our extended family

Free Wifi

We enjoyed our stay with cousin Gerard and are now stopped at Maccas Chippenham where it's cold, wet and not yet 10 degrees.

Pleased to see they have free wireless internet. Thank heavens I had a little laptop in my handbag.

Out for a stroll with cousin Gerard

Washing Woes

Washing machine man has pronounced the Kleenmaid dead .... and the consultation was as costly as a neursurgeon's visit!

Guess I'll be handwashing for a few days.
