Au Revoir Paris - Jusqu'à la Prochaine Fois

Our last excursion in Paris on Monday evening was an open top bus tour to see the city lights. As It wasn't dark until around 9:30pm it made for a late night out. It wasn't a flash tour but it enabled us to see some flash landmarks.

The cameras got some exercise catching images of landmarks and sites that were illuminated. I hope you can recognise some of them.

Hide and Seek

The moon was playing hide and seek in the clouds tonight.

Moon at Carey Bay

When I went outside to investigate the bright light I found that the water was shimmering and there were some interesting reflections off the Lake. I was rather pleased with the images I captured on my phone, there was just a smidgin of colour in my snaps.

Night Mode

When taking photos on my phone I usually just point-and-click.

This afternoon I went to a session on smartphone photography at my local library and while I didn't learn much I was reminded to slow down before taking photos.

This evening when I walked out onto the balcony I decided to switch my phone over to night mode before I took my shots. The result was most pleasing.

Maybe I shouldn't be so snap happy and think about the settings before I start taking pics.

Shanghai Lights

We boarded our ship, Seven Seas Mariner,  in Shanghai this afternoon and are ready for our next adventure.

We didn't know about these lights before but are lucky to find ourselves on the right side of the ship to see the show in Shanghai and the parade of small tourist boats out to view it. It rivals the similar show in Hong Kong.

Mumbai by Night

 26 November 2015

Reeligious Beats, our first tour today took us to a variety of religious establishments around Mumbai. We visited a Hindu Temple, a mosque, a synagogue and an Anglican Cathedral.

On our return to the ship we rested up and recharged our cameras for our evening tour of Mumbai. Our fuzzy nighttime snapshots show how busy and bright Mumbai is after dark.

At our first stop we went for a wander along the main shopping street.

While window shopping we came across Ronald

As we drove along the freeway we were able to spy on a huge wedding.

Marine Drive

We stopped to see the beautiful Victoria Station

Victoria Station Clock

India Gate was lit up and well guarded.

We stopped in at a local theatre and viewed a portion of a Bollywood movie.

Our final stop was for some refreshment in an Irish pub!!!

Christmas in Coral Gables

 23 November 2014

Last night prior to boarding our cruise today Regent put us up at the Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables. We took a drive around the area, an evening walk and had dinner at one of our favourite US chain restaurants, Benihana, after checking in to the hotel.

As we wandered we noticed plenty of evidence of the coming Christmas season.
