On the road again. Heading towards Portsmouth. Meanwhile here are a few UpClose pics from our visit to Westminster Abbey yesterday. Our last visit was in 1983 with three of our children.

Kicking off our European Vacation

Reflections of a glorious summery spring day in London yesterday when we took a canal boat ride on Regent's Canal. What a wonderful start to our latest European vacation.

The Duke

As we were walking between the Postal Museum and Charles Dickens House Museum in London we felt the need for refreshment. Then we saw a sign to a pub, The Duke.

We found an Art Deco pub (circa 1938) sited in a residential area on a corner underneath a block of flats. The interior of the cosy pub featured many features of its period and the food was good. I'd recommend it as a spot to rest prior or after a to visit the Dicken's Museum which we found just around the corner.

20 Something Snaps - Doordling around London

Sitting in my geneacave this afternoon I coined a new word "Doordling" to describe an activity I embrace when travelling.

I am a slow walker who dawdles. The doordling occurs when I combine this activity with stops to take photos of doors I spy on my journeys. 

On our recent holiday we spent some time in London where I enjoyed several "Doordles".
