Windows on the World - H is for Hard Rock in Helsinki

This month I am participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge where I will endeavour to post on this blog each day. I will be sharing photos of Windows that I have photographed on my travels and highlighting from A-Z the places where I found these Windows on the World.

On a recent trip to Europe we made a four day stopover in Helsinki. We had previously visited this city on a cruise ship and vowed to return. Flying Finnair from Sydney to London via Helsinki gave us that opportunity.

As well as seeing a nice bay window at the Hard Rock Cafe we saw a variety of window styles.

Love a good wine?

Goodbye Helsinki

We've had a fantastic few days in Helsinki and would recommend this city for a short stay. It was a convenient stop for us on our flight with Finnair from Sydney to London.

For our last morning in Helsinki we strolled a few hundred metres down the street to the Sinebrychoff Art Museum where we learnt more about the art and culture of Finland.

Sheltering with Design

2 June 2016

We appreciated being able to take refuge in the Design Museum in Helsinki when caught in an afternoon shower.

The museum, housed in a heritage building displays many articles that represent excellent Finnish design. While we were familiar with items like Iitala and Marimekko we discovered many other Finnish items.
