A-Z Blogging Challenge 2025 X is for Xes

As I travel the world I take many photos that pique my interest, these could be lumped into a "peculiar category" ie. they are peculiar to my interests and may be different from what one usually sees in a collection of travel photos.

For the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge in 2025 my theme is Peculiar Pics. During April I invite you to join me for an online tour of Peculiar Pics from my digital albums. These will be sourced from my travels between April 2024 to March 2025.

Archisoup tells me that "shapes in architecture play a crucial role in the design and appearance of a building. From the simplest geometric forms to more complex and organic shapes, the use of shape is a powerful tool that can greatly enhance the appearance and function of a building."

I have been snapping several structures that use X, a simple geometric form, in their construction.

  1. This was a very clever theme for X. Surprising just how often they’re seen. My question is: did you take photos with this year’s A to Z theme in mind, or choose them retrospectively?

  2. They were already tagged but not specifically for the challenge. I go through phases with my tagging. Often tagging colour and varios shapes. Some odd ones I use are Bus shelters roundabouts, and then there are the photographers and posers and McDonalds and KFC ....
