A Peak Experience
We took advantage of the glorious sunshine in Tomamu to take a gondola ride to the top of the mountain with a grandson as our guide and photographer.

A Touch of France in Japan
So good to meet up with all the descendants and partners in Tomamu Japan tonight. We had all been in Japan for about a week but were travelling in smaller family groups to suit our interests. We have now gathered for a week of family fun and snow activities.
Thanks to Club Med staff for accommodating our request for a dinner group of 22 tonight. I particularly enjoyed the bread, cheese and wine while Robert enjoyed his ice-cream.
We had a delicious meal and shared many stories. The young cousins were thrilled to see each other.

After dinner it was early to bed for all the skiers. Robert and I have opted to be observers.

Canada Day
Back in 2007 we enjoyed two visits to Western Canada when our son was undertaking a fellowship in Calgary. We explored many areas in Alberta and British Columbia with he and his family.
Canada Day, the 1st of July, found us at Rocky Mountain House at the end of a trip through Alberta.
We enjoyed celebrating with locals, learning about Canadian History, wearing our maple leaf tattoos. There weren't many options for food at the venue so we snacked on a picnic lunch of corn on the cob.

Signs of San Francisco
I find it helpful to take photos of signs in the places I visit. As well as helping me identify other photos taken at the same time they remind me of many memorable moments.

I wondered why accommodation was so expensive on this visit |

Not Quite 20 Something Snaps - Anchors
If I see an anchor when I am away I try to grab a photo. Some of my pics are a bit dodgy but they are all reminders of amazing adventures.
