A Ferry Ride

After checking into our hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure today we took a ferry ride to neighbouring Portofino.

While the weather was overcast we enjoyed our second visit to this charming site.

Comogli

Prior to travelling there by a speedy boat from Portofino we had never heard about Comogli on the Italian Riviera.

We first visited San Fruttuoso, a tiny, forest-lined inlet only accessible by boat or by foot, then made our way to the busy dock in Comogli. After a short walking tour of this fishing village and holiday spot we meandered along the seaside promenade and had a refreshing Coca-Cola in one of the many seaside bars.
