Windows on the World - S is for Skiers in Snowbird

This month I am participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge where I will endeavour to post on this blog each day. I will be sharing photos of Windows that I have photographed on my travels and highlighting from A-Z the places where I found these Windows on the World.


In February this year I visited the ski resort of Snowbird in Utah, USA. My three friends and I were the only non-skiers who were in our crowded cable car as it travelled up to 11,000 feet. The cable car was quite empty on the way down as the skiers travelled down under their own steam.

Windows on the World - R is for Reminiscing in Reykjavik

When we were in Reykjavik, Iceland last year we visited an open-air museum in Arbaer where we were able to visit Icelandic houses from various time periods throughout history. At this marvellous museum we were given insights into the history of Iceland. There was a variety of windows in the buildings at the museum.

Windows on the World - Q is for a Quest in Qaqortoq

This month I am participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge where I will endeavour to post on this blog each day. I will be sharing photos of Windows that I have photographed on my travels and highlighting from A-Z the places where I found these Windows on the World.

The letter Q was quite a challenge for me. I have visited a few Q places including a couple of Queenstowns but I don't have many Q windows in my photo albums. So I am returning to Greenland and sharing some photos from Qaqortoq (a town with three Qs.)

Windows on the World - P is for Perambulating around Prague

I have visited Prague in both summer and winter and have been captivated by its beauty in both seasons. I found it much easier to wander around this compact city in summer and admire the many beautiful buildings. Selecting just a few windows for this post was quite a difficult task at which I failed.

Windows on the World - O is for Ornamental Obidos

Annoying showers hindered our exploration of the walled Roman town of Obidos in Portugal. In spite of the the inclement weather I managed to grab a few clear photos of windows there.

Windows on the World - N is for Not Many in Nuuk

This month I am participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge where I will endeavour to post on this blog each day. I will be sharing photos of Windows that I have photographed on my travels and highlighting from A-Z the places where I found these Windows on the World.

Last year our cruise ship called at a few ports in Greenland including the capital, Nuuk. I had expected to find a bunch of igloos or tents made out of skins but found a modern city with many new multi-storey buildings most of which appeared to be pre-fabricated. There was a sameness in the many windows we saw in Nuuk.
