20 Something Snaps - Roaming in Roma

We collected our rental car yesterday and set out for Villa D'este as wanted to stay out of central Rome. 

The GPS was malfunctioning so we drove aimlessly and didn't know where we were. All of a sudden I said "that looks like St Peters". It was! Somehow we were in the city! 

The moment when the penny dropped

We then spent a couple of hours on a personal driving tour and Mr Geniaus coped admirably with the Sunday traffic in Rome.

Along the way I snapped a few pics from the moving car. 

We weren't the only people who were lost

We will return

After a sensational journey of 4798 Nautical Miles or 8 885.896 Kilometres through 13 countries and several seas and oceans we will say farewell to the beautiful Regent Seven Seas Voyager and her crew in Civitavecchia a few hours.

.. but I really travelled to Newcastle with Robert  to see and  hear the legendary Seekers perform in Andre's concert at The Newcastle Entertainment Centre last night.

While Andre's music was fun and took us on a toe tapping virtual trip to Vienna I had to wait patiently for my main event.

The Seekers didn't come on till 10:15, I thought they weren't coming. They were fabulous. Little Judith Durham was brilliant - had tears in my eyes.

Jerusalem bound

It's early morning in Haifa and we are waiting on the call to join our tour to Jerusalem.

Visiting Jerusalem has been a dream of mine since I was a school girl. Later in life working in a Jewish day school for five years further ignited my interest in the Jewish faith and culture.

EASY. With a visit to Marvellous Massada and a swim in the Dead Sea today.
