Happy Hour with the Hippos
20 November 2018.
On our evening safari drive we stopped off for some pre-dinner drinks bedside the home of some local hippos. We are being spoilt at Sanctuary Stanley's Camp.

After we arrived at Chobe Game Lodge we took a safari cruise down the Chobe River. We didn't have fancy camera gear like the chaps in this first photo but we are happy with the images from our point and shoot cameras.

Amazing Amboseli Adventure
9 December 2015
When we go cruising with Regent we usually take the tours that are included in the price of the cruise but on occasion we splash out on a premium tour as we did in Mombasa, Kenya today.
On disembarking the ship we were driven to the airport and allocated a seat in a light plane for a trip to Amboseli National Park where would participate in a couple of safari drives, have lunch at a lodge within the park and enjoy some views of Mount Kilamanjaro. Unfortunately the mountain was hiding in the clouds but the other elements of our first ever African safari were first rate. We will definitely go on safari again after this experience.
