What a catch!

The prize for first fish caught from our jetty goes to our daughter. It was a tad small so she returned it to the water. (Fish is the white dot on the water at the left of the screen).

A-Z Challenge - Theme Reveal

I'm fronting up again for the A-Z Blogging Challenge in April. I found my genealogy theme last year rather onerous because it involved a lot of research for each post so I am choosing a picture related theme this time. I have also pre-selected some of the images so my task should be more manageable (it could even be enjoyable)!

As Mr GeniAus and I travel the world we take lots of photos and among my collection I have many images of windows. So my theme for 2017 will be Windows on the World.

Boats on the Bay

Mr GeniAus and I are in the process of moving to a new home on the waterfront in Lake Macquarie, NSW.

I love watching the changing moods of the water and keeping track of the various vessels that come and go. I had thought of starting a new blog for the Boats on the Bay  but as I underuse this blog I will post my lake and boat pictures here and tag them accordingly.

New Garden

When we bought this house I didn't take much notice of the front garden as I was besotted by the Lake in our backyard. When I went for a stroll this afternoon I found so many lovely areas and pretty plants. It is a treasure.

We now just need to tart up the house to match its surroundings.

And the good news is we got on an earlier flight on QF82 so will be home 4 hours earlier than we thought. No time for bubbles in the lounge but we found some on board.

Spectacular Show

Our  Regent holiday is just about over. We fly home tonight. These are a few pics from the amazing Light show at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. A magical experience.

Raffles Place

Before the rain drove us back to the hotel we enjoyed lunch and the artworks in Raffles Place, Singapore.

Dining with the Empress

We were sad to leave the Seven Seas Navigator this morning after another stunning cruise but are pleased to be enjoying a post cruise tour with Regent. 

Tonight we are enjoying an independent dinner at Empress Restaurant just across the bridge from our hotel. Although it's hard to see our food in the poor light as we sit on the terrace we are rewarded with some lovely sights of the river and Singapore lights. 

Snug and safe

Currently cruising the Java Sea on Seven Seas Navigator.

First storm this cruise and the foghorn is blasting away. Feeling snug in our suite as we watch the rain lashing our balcony, the white caps on the sea and the wind whistling and roaring.

Busy Bali

I've never really wanted to visit Bali but must admit that the sail in this afternoon was spectacular. Lots of exploring today and tomorrow.
