 It's well known among family and friends that I am not a fan of Thugby (oops Rugby) League however after many invitations to a local game I finally succumbed.

I didn't pay much attention to what was going on on the field but, lubricated with a few glasses of bubbly and a nice hot lunch, I enjoyed  my afternoon sitting and chatting with some of the family. Thanks to my son-in-law for the entertainment.

As we were driving along the M1 today we came across a traffic hiccup. This truck ain't going anywhere in a hurry.

A Council of Cormorants

It's a wet and miserable day on the Lake today. Our spirits were lifted when we noticed this horde of visitors on our jetty. I believe that the correct collective noun is a Gulp of Cormorants but I liked the alliteration of a Council of Cormorants.
