Pie in the Sky
Early Lunch at Pie in the Sky. Delicious (but expensive) Aussie pies with beaut views over the Hawkesbury River. A great stop to on the way to or from Newcastle.
High Horse Tour
Oh what a night. We laughed till we cried with the amazing Billy Connolly at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre last night.
It was sad to see the toll that Parkinson's disease has taken on this showman.

Made with Love
It's always pleasing to receive a gift so I was delighted when my genimate, Audrey, presented me with a lovely Chickeny cushion cover.
When I was chatting with her at breakfast this morning Audrey told me that she had made the item herself. That makes it so much more special.
Thank you so much Audrey for this gift you crafted, I will treasure it.

Sunday Scenes Part 2
After a lunch break at Blue Lemon in Sandy we drove to Antelope Island State Park. Our senses had a fantastic feast this morning but they got a sumptuous buffet this afternoon. I would love to bring Mr GeniAus to see this spot.
I'm rather proud of the photos I took today. It helps to have superb subject matter.

Sunday Scenes - Part 1
My camera got a good workout today as I went on an excursion out of Salt Lake City with friends Lisa and Roger. The subject of this , the first of two posts for today is, our morning visit to American Fork Canyon with a drive through the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
I will let the pictures tell the story.
Thanks to Lisa and Roger who invited me to share their adventure today.

A Saturday in Salt Lake
Well here I am in Salt Lake City for the Rootstech Conference. As it was my first day I took it quietly, slept in till 9, had a leisurely breakfast with some genimates and then headed for some retail therapy (don't worry Mr GeniAus - I only bought essential items) came back to the hotel for some R&R then made a short visit to the Family History Library.
Dinner with Roger and Lisa Moffatt was an adventure which ended in a delicious meal at Blue Lemon.

I wondered about these birds until Roger told me that the seagull is the State bird of Utah |

The Creek runs through the Center - don't know if it's man made or if it follows an original watercourse. |
Light lunch at Kneaders - thanks for the tip fellow bloggers |
The Temple in Salt Lake City - note the brilliant blue sky |
That's the Mormon Tabernacle in Temple Square |
And I can't remember what this building next to the Tabernacle is called |
I made a positive comment about this chap's car so he fetched an album from the trunk and showed me a picture of his family and the car when he was a baby in 1965. It was previously his Dad's car. |

Getting Conference Ready - Preparations
DearMYRTLE has indicated that the geneablogger beads at Rootstech will be red and white. I am trying to organise my conference wardrobe to match the beads.
And I'm getting some practice in blogging from my smartphone (because the user is not as smart as the phone).
