Billy's coming to Town
I'm so excited because I just bought tickets to see Billy Connolly when he comes to Australia in February.
Both Mr GeniAus and I are great fans of Billy. We laughed our heads off and had tears running down our cheeks when we we last went to one of his concerts. Mr GeniAus has been using one of Billy's jokes about bread since then, hopefully he will find a replacement at the concert.

Surprise - Lovely Blog Award
Haphazard is an apt word to describe the way I post and manage this blog. It's just something that is there for me if I feel the need to share or record something from my personal life.
My genealogy blog GeniAus, where most of my blogging effort is directed, has received quite a few awards but this little blog doesn't get nor deserve the same recognition. It is always gratifying to be recognised by readers and fellow bloggers so I was absolutely delighted when my genimate Crissouli from The Back Fence of Genealogy bestowed The One Lovely Blog Award on this blog. Thanks Chris I am stoked.
The suggestions for passing on the award, if you wish to do so, are as follows...

South Steyne
When I was a child a trip on the "South Steyne", a Manly Ferry , was a big adventure. I spotted the old girl at Darling Harbour last week in her new role as a restaurant.

Decrapifying Update
We continue to dispose of some of the stuff we have accumulated over the past 40 odd years.
You can see how we are progressing here: http://ballau.blogspot.com.au/p/decrapifying.html.
