In Akaroa, New Zealand, yesterday we found a flower filled town. I particularly loved the roses.

20 Something Snaps - Art Deco

Yesterday in Napier, NZ, we found a town full of preserved Art Deco buildings. I went overboard taking photos on the two tours we did. It was necessary to look above the modern shop awnings to appreciate the features of many of the buildings.

Congratulations to the city authorities who had the foresight to preserve these heritage buildings.

Following are a few snaps.

A Reward

Feet up with canapes and Coca-Cola after a fab day of sightseeing in Napier New Zealand. Returning to the comfort of a Regent ship is a sweet reward after an adventure filled day.

By the time I took this pic one canape had already disappeared. Robert???

Vale Margaret May

One of my favourite children's authors when I worked in school libraries was Margaret Mahy.

This report on her memorial service comes from the Christchurch Library blog.
