Calling home

 28 November 2016

Currently researching in The National Library of Australia

I had to pinch myself - it feels like I am in Salt Lake City. I have counted 7 young LDS (Mormon) missionaries making use of free technology in the Reading Room here. Apparently today is the weekday on which the missionaries are allowed to contact their families.

On the road again

It's a glorious day for our lunch date in Canberra.

Canberra

We've been trippin again and so the blogging has suffered. I spent three days at a genealogy conference in Canberra and then two days doing research at our National Archives and National Library so I didn't take many tourist type photos.

Although the weather was beautiful I didn't even visit Floriade as the lure of records in the archives and library was more appealing than the beautiful display of flowers at Floriade.

Conference Venue - The Hellenic Club
Reading Room - National Archives of Australia
