Land ahoy!

Have been sailing around in a circle because the pilot in Charleston asked our Captain to delay our arrival in Charleston because there is another ship, the Regatta, still berthed where we are scheduled.

I am pleased to report that over lunch I saw the pilot climb onto our ship and that I can now spot land ahoy.

Charleston here we come.

South of the Border

When he learnt of our plans to drive down Interstate 95 Mr Geniaus' cousin suggested that we should visit South of the Border, a kitsch place to break a journey just after the order crossing from North Carolina to South Carolina. Apparently this iconic site has been around since 1949.

Mr Geniaus and I enjoyed taking a break and getting to know Pedro and his amigos.
